Mitjavila Semi-Cassette Retractable Awnings are shading products that have been engineered to a more compact size compared to regular "open roll" awnings that are a bit bulkier in size when their optional protective hoods are used. This is no longer a problem with semi cassette awnings, as they all come with a built-in aluminum hood as part of the frame and mechanism, thus allowing for a smaller, less intrusive fit when mounted against a wall or under a soffit. The integrated hood remains close to the roller tube and the acrylic fabric rolled onto it, thus providing good protection from dust, rain, hail, or even rodents' or birds' nesting damage. The front of the awning has an optional fabric valence installed to help hide the spring-loaded arms of the awning system when retracted in. Motorized awnings are the most popular nowadays that allow opening and closing awnings as large as 20' x 10' or even larger at the touch of a remote control. Wind sensors also come standard with each motorized awning for added safety protection.
